I love Folk Art

I just picked up 2 new pieces of fab folk art. I picked the cool grotto in Iowa city junk shop "artifacts" It's loaded with cheap and cheesy jewelry from the 50's and 60's. I've got to find a spot for it somewhere. That's the problem here, finding more room. The other piece is a grandfather clock (missing the clock). It looks like grandpa made it. All million pieces are hand cut and hand stained with "Love". Probably from the 40's. It looks like a project from a old boys "Things for boys to make" book from that time period. I picked this up at "Decorum" antique shop. "Mark" gave me a great deal on this piece.

OK, I love both of these pieces and am seriously jealous of the grotto! I just went thru some of your archives and saw that you bought LZ's cd as well, but didn't see any jugs. Did you ever make any? I have done a bit of mosaic and leaded glass as well, but yours is amazing ! I think part of the reason I am drawn to folk art is the color. I am so sick of WHITE! Give me some color!!
