I haven't ordered from "logee" for awhile. I was due. I will say that every plant was just like it was packed. Not a single leaf out of place. nothing broken off and still moist. The plants were beautiful. I ordered some begonias and a Alocasia "stingray" and a cool philodendron. i have some more on the way.

What gorgeous plants...I have never ordered from a catalog...amazing that they arrived in such great condition!
I have one of those Philodendrons (P. gloriosum); they're kind of weird. They don't climb, and they're not really flexible enough to trail: apparently what they want to do is grow over the top of the ground. Makes repotting sort of a challenge, because if they hit the edge of the pot and there's no more soil, they just grow straight down, so you wind up with thick stems containing sharp right angles, that won't unbend to fit in a new pot. Mine needs to be repotted right now, and I'm not sure how to do it, whether I should try to cut it back or twist the stems or what.
Also I had a minor problem with spider mites once. Though it didn't take much to get rid of them, it's worth keeping an eye out.
Nice enough plant otherwise. Mine (from Hy-Vee, a couple years ago -- the only time I've ever seen one for sale anywhere) hasn't looked particularly full since I got it, but some of that is my fault for letting it dry out too much between waterings.
That's interesting, maybe if i put it in with another plant that has a huge pot.(elephant ear). I'll have to wait and see. Thanks for the info.
i will have to check the nursery you ordered from. Very nice!. I really need to ride soon too!
