New favorite shows

Mad Men has been a favorite for 2 seasons now. Gotta love it.It captures the time period to a "T". The clothes the attitudes toward women. I was only in grade school during the 60's. But, i remember it well. My mom always wore a girdle, Oh, how awful that must have been. Wigs were a big thing. Big wigs. The show is great, it makes you glad that we've come along way baby. The other show that has me pleasantly surprised is HBO'S TRUE BLOOD. I love alan ball's work. SIX FEET UNDER. This is going to be a watcher. I'm hooked only after 3 episodes. Ole bill compton drives me wild.

LOVE Six Feet Under and Mad Men, don't have HBO, so have no clue there and can't find Six Fett Under anymore...so I'm clueless again!

I remember the girdle very well, then throw on some big girl panties and the dreaded sanitary belt...a disaster waiting to happen if you had to wait in line at the potty!!!

I think I still have a couple of wigs somewhere too...thank God we've moved on and thanks the Gods for the Tampax...yippee for womankind!!!

Love Bill Compton. Now if only he didn't have such awkward lines. I'll forgive him though. When a guy looks that good it's hard to hold something like that against him.

Hey there! thanks for stopping by the Butterfly and for your encouraging words for my collage. I need all the encouragement I can get...just getting started letting my artist out.

I LOVE MAD MEN! I'm too young to know, but I keep hearing women tell me that is exactly what it was like. I love the clothes and hair, but wow...what a life that must have been.....

And hooray! Julie and Buddy Miller rock.

I ventured to your blog after I saw you'd posted on mine. You are an incredible artist and I have enjoyed seeing your work and about things that touch your life. I, was a kid in the 60s and remember my mom's girdle, too. Thank you for your kind words on my blog and allowing me to see yours. Your work is amazing. Hope to see more!
