The Grinch

My song! 2 posts in 1 day. I'm finally at a great piece of mind on Christmas. I loved Christmas as a kid. Mom always made sure we had wonderful Christmases. They all were very memorable. But, now i could care less. Through the years, there has always been some pressure from family, peers or media. You have to be celebrating or buying presents, putting up decorations, spending time with family etc..... Bill always became irritable and depressed, i just dreaded it all, Then i read a book called "How to simplify your life" She said "Don't enjoy Christmas?" Skip it! "It's Okay" I don't know why it took a book to change my ways, but I did it. I told everyone, family and friends "No presents please" and don't look for us on Christmas day. Bill and i have worked every Christmas for 27 years. No regrets and stress free. "You say it's Christmas today". " Oh yeah, i guess it is. Whatever!!

Merry Christmas...
You aren't a Grinch...at all... Your little heart holds Christmas within it, always...I've seen it...Commercialism...well...that's another thing...
Kathie... You have a most amazing twinkle, in your eye...and the sweetest spirit... that's what Christmas, is all about... you just live it, everyday...
My Love to You...and Bill...

cc,
How great it was to log on this evening for a little relaxed blog reading after dinner and to find you had posted. I am sorry to hear about your tumble and hope all is mending well. A couch, a blanket, and a book now that is one of my favorite ways to spend a cold winters day.
After reading your post “The Grinch” I had myself a good little chuckle. It seems there are a lot of us in the “Christmas Blah Boat”, (lol). I hope you guys are enjoying the season just the way you want, I’m partial to sharing a blanket by the fire with hot chocolate and conversation. And if there just happens to holiday music playing in the background, well that’s ok to. Just hope you have a little fun…

Take care and hope to be reading more posting from you soon. - G

RIGHT ON SISTA!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason we still get together as a family is because of my Dad, no presents for years...don't want to buy into it, the commercialism, though I'm knee-deep into it owning a retail store, just sickens me...wouldn't it be a hoot next year if in the store, no trees, no Santas, no ornaments,
just another day on the map!

You know how I feel about religion, talk about money and power trips...and did I mention GUILT!!! Times they are a changin' and if the religious zealots don't want to see it and change, it won't matter, those of us that see the universal light will make all the difference, for the planet and all that breathe it's pure air...it's coming, the change that we seek...

Love you lil' sister, miss you!!!

I love this blog template, now you need to download one of your own photos on it, that's what I did, it makes it all the more artist...have fun sweetie!
